Acting as the German company's best-selling model, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a compact executive car that came into production in 1993.

At the same time as the E-Class model coming on sale, the C-Class also entered showrooms replacing the 190 E line from the same company.

Originally this car was used as the entry-level model until the A-Class took that spot in 1997 and this line started to become more luxurious.

Customers have been able to buy the car not just as a sedan but also as a station wagon and as of 2008, an offshoot fastback coupe called the CLC.

A range of engines and trims have helped the car adapt to different regions and demographics ranging from a smaller displacement entry model through to the AMG performance trim.

Available across all generations of the car's existence, the AMG trim sports a supercharged or turbocharged engine matched with a premium interior and additional safety and comfort features.
