GM marketed the Cascada model around the world under several different brands: Buick, Vauxhall, Holden and Opel.

Due to the name of the car meaning waterfall in Spanish, the company decided to sell the car in Spain as the Opel Cabrio.

It was a 2-door compact convertible with a fabric roof with an engine in the front powering the front wheels.

Inside the car was a 2+2 seating arrangement allowing passengers to sit in the back if required though not very comfortable due to the limited space.

Almost 50,000 Cascada's were built at the assembly plant in Poland between 2013 and 2019 before the car was discontinued.

Buyers could choose between a 1.4 or 1.6 turbocharged gasoline engine or they could have opted for a 2-liter turbocharged diesel.

All transmissions were 6-speed with customers able to choose between an automatic or manual gearbox.

Underneath the car was the same platform used by the Buick Verano and the Chevrolet Cruze to name a few.
