The Blazer model name has been used on many different large off-road vehicles from the American automobile manufacturer since 1969.
It started off as a large 2-door SUV before becoming a mid-size SUV in the 1980s and now the brand has been revived for a mid-size crossover SUV.
As a crossover SUV, the Blazer will now not focus so much on being an off-road capable vehicle and instead use a normal cars platform to achieve lower running costs.
Underneath the new SUV is the same platform used by other crossovers such as the Cadillac XT5 and the GMC Acadia.
Power for this version is provided by a 2 litre turbocharged or a 2.5 litre turbocharged or even a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter gasoline V6.
All models will be fitted with a 9-speed automatic transmission powering either the front or all four wheels.
A three-row 7 seater version of the car has also been introduced on a slightly longer wheelbase to help it serve the full-size crossover SUV sector.
Although new to the market initial sales of the revived Chevrolet Blazer are impressive with it just falling short of 100,000 sales per year.
