The Q60, which started its life as the fourth generation of the G Coupe, was unveiled in 2007. This was later changed in 2014 with the release of the official Q variant.

The Japanese luxury carmaker would then follow this up with the release of a second generation in 2016. This represents the latest version of the model.

The model is currently the largest car in the family since the discontinuation of the G70 in 2019. It sits alongside its 4-door counterpart, the Q50, which the model shares a huge number of similarities with.

In terms of competition from outside the company, a number of German offerings often come to mind. The most notable of these include the Audi A5, BMW 4-Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.

The model is currently offered in just four trims. These consist of the base Pure, Luxe, Sport, and Red Sport 400. The Red Sport version comes with a number of upgrades like a more powerful engine and sportier styling.

Powertrain options consist only of petrol engines. These range from the smallest option, which is a turbocharged 2.0 L Mercedes-Benz inline-4, to the largest and most powerful of the lot - the twin-turbocharged 3.0 Nissan V6 that is found in the Red Sport 400 package

Transmissions have been limited to one of two 7-speed automatic gearboxes, depending on the year of production.

Infiniti recently announced that 2022 would be the final year of production for the Q60. This was largely credited to the popularity of crossovers and SUVs, along with the declining demand for coupes and sedans.
