Built for the North American market, the Nissan Armada is a full-size SUV originally based on the Nissan Titan pickup truck.
It was also built on the same platform used by the Frontier and Pathfinder until its second-generation release.
Production of the SUV began in 2003 with the second-generation model being released in 2017 and now built on the Nissan Patrol platform.
When the Armada was first introduced it was assembled in the USA but the new version is assembled in Japan and exported to the North American market where the engine is fitted there.
Comparing the second generation model with the first it is noticeably smaller, lighter and now more powerful boasting a new body styling wildly different from the last.
Sales have climbed over the years especially as the second generation model was released - bringing vital revenue to Nissan through this low-volume high-profit model line.
Engine choices have also been non-existent for this SUV with buyers lacking any choice at all, the car has always been fitted with a 5.6 liter V8.
Attached to the engine is a 7-speed automatic transmission pushing power to all four wheels underneath.
