The GMC Sierra is a series of full-size and heavy-duty pickup trucks manufactured by General Motors. It’s essentially GMC’s counterpart to the Chevrolet Silverado, with both vehicles sharing much of their underpinnings and architecture, but often with more premium and luxury trim and feature options.

GMC Sierra is built on the same platform as Chevrolet Silverado. It is marketed as a more premium, luxury version of the Chevrolet Silverado by General Motors.

GMC Sierra is popular for its exterior appearance, luxurious interior and powerful and efficient performance. GMC Sierra’s history dates back to 1987 when it was launched on a shared platform.

The current Sierra is available in three cab styles (regular, extended, and crew cab) and two bed lengths: 5.8 feet and 6.6 feet.
There are six engines to choose from: a 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8, 2.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, 3.0L inline-six turbodiesel engine, and a 3.0L inline-six turbodiesel engine with mild-hybrid assist. It is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.

The Sierra is known for its towing capacity. It can tow up to 14,500 pounds with the 6.2L V8 engine. It is also known for its off-road capability.
